When we first found out about this company, we did not know we would get this amazing customer service and such beautiful results. From the beginning Kimberly was extremely responsive and friendly; making sure we were satisfied with the arrangements. Israel came to install the lights and he did a stupendous job! The lights are all perfectly aligned and cover the whole area around the roof line even up to the turret. He spent a lot of time making sure it was all secured and he even cleared some of the gutters for us. At the end he gave us clear instructions on what to expect and programed the timing to what we wanted. After the lights were on, we noticed one single bulb not lit and after reporting this, he came back the next day and fixed it! All that to make customers happy!

We will definitely recommend this company to others. Kudos to Simple Joys!

When I called to schedule an appointment with Simple Joys, they were able to pull up information from my previous work to be sure all necessary areas were addressed. Additionally, the morning of my appointment, there was an issue with the appointment before mine (their gutters were frozen) and the technicians would be late getting to my house. I greatly appreciated the "heads up" with a new arrival time. Upon arrival, the technicians touched bases with me before starting to confirm the scheduled work which they completed very quickly. additionally, they cleaned up any residue from the roof. I am very happy with their service and staff who are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again.

Will the service be loud?

Depending on how close you are to the area where the technician is actively working, the service can be quite loud—especially when we use a leaf blower or agitate moss during roof cleaning. If noise is a concern (such as for a napping baby or remote work), we’re happy to discuss scheduling options to make things as convenient as possible.

Won’t the moss fall off into my gutters?

We apply moss treatment to light moss buildup that’s manageable for natural shedding. As the moss dies, it shrinks, dries out, and becomes brittle, breaking into small, lightweight fragments that typically wash away without clogging gutters.

If there’s significant moss buildup, we may recommend partial hand removal first to bring it down to a manageable level before applying treatment. This ensures the treatment works effectively without overwhelming your gutters.

Will zinc damage the roof or gutters?

Zinc is safe for your roof when applied correctly. We use a zinc-based treatment at the manufacturer’s recommended dosage—just enough to evenly coat the roof surface without overapplying.

In very high concentrations, zinc can potentially cause corrosion to gutters over time, but that only becomes a concern when applied in heavy or repeated doses. Our technicians are trained to use just the right amount to ensure effective moss control without any risk to your roofing or gutter system.
